GVIP Pty Ltd is a fully integrated fresh produce business based in Shepparton, with orchard, packing, storage and transport operations. We are seeking a practical, organised Assistant Transport Manager to support the day-to-day running of our transport function.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands transport operations, enjoys problem-solving, and can work calmly in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily transport and logistics planning
- Booking freight and coordinating loads across internal and external carriers
- Preparing load plans, manifests and transport documentation
- Communicating with drivers as required to support daily operations
- Supporting the Transport Manager with scheduling and operational tasks
- Monitoring driver compliance using the Teletrac Navman system
- Running and reviewing driver logbook and behaviour reports
- Ensuring transport operations align with fatigue management and compliance requirements
- General administrative and operational support within the transport team
About You
- Previous experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations preferred
- Strong computer skills and confidence using transport or compliance systems
- High attention to detail, particularly with paperwork and compliance reporting
- Clear communication skills and the ability to deal with drivers professionally
- Well organised, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities
- Practical mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership
